Hot Club of Kato is a gypsy jazz band based in Mankato, Minnesota. Formed in 2025, the band draws inspiration from the legendary Hot Club de France and the vibrant jazz scene of the 1930s. Local music veteran Dan Duffy (rhythm guitar) is joined by talented instrumentalists John Kruse (lead guitar), Daniel Halvorson (violin and mandolin), and John Halvorson (bass) to play improvised instrumental music in the Hot Club style.
